[Maeil Business Youngwook Lee] Vueron Technology, a company specializing in AI-based LiDAR cognitive solutions, announced on the 29th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Smart Radar System, a company specializing in 4D imaging radar, for joint R&D and business cooperation in sensor fusion.
Smart Radar Systems is a company specializing in 4D imaging radars. It provides RF antenna design, hardware module fabrication, radar signal processing algorithms, and software APIs. Its technology has already been proven in various global markets such as autonomous driving, robotics, and agricultural machinery.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to advance cognitive technology and preempt the market in future mobility markets such as autonomous driving, smart infrastructure, and robotics. The collaboration between the two companies is expected to build differentiated technology competitiveness through close partnerships and lead the growth of the sensor fusion market.
Sensor Fusion, which is considered a key technology such as autonomous driving and smart infrastructure, is a technology that accurately and three-dimensionally recognizes the surrounding environment by combining data collected from different sensors. In particular, when LiDAR with excellent precision and radar less affected by weather are combined, detection accuracy and environmental adaptability may be improved.
Through cooperation between the two companies, they plan to strengthen their competitiveness by jointly developing solutions that can be applied to various industries as well as OEMs and Global Tier 1.
Vueron Technology is leading the domestic and foreign markets in autonomous driving and smart infrastructure through its own AI-based LIDAR cognitive solutions ‘VueOne’ and ‘VueTwo’. Recently, it has been recognized for its technological prowess in the global market by introducing the AI development integration platform VueX on the Amazon Web Service Marketplace. Starting with this agreement, Vueron Technology plans to expand its technology horizon by converging with various sensors such as radars and cameras.
