Vueron Technology, a company specializing in AI-based perception solutions, announced on the 17th that its Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) perception solution for Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS), ‘VueOne,’ has obtained Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) Capability Level 2 (CL2) certification for automotive software development process quality.
With this certification, Vueron has officially demonstrated that ‘VueOne’ has established the rigorous development and validation systems required for mass production. The company has now completed the foundation for entering the global market with a mass production system.
Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) is an international process assessment model used by global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to verify the quality and capability of their partners’ automotive software development and management. In particular, Level 2 (CL2) signifies systematic management and quality assurance of systems, and is considered a mandatory qualification for global OEMs when selecting mass production partners.
Vueron achieved Level 1 (CL1) in March and, in just seven months, obtained CL2. This is a rare case of a startup completing a certification process that even Tier 1 suppliers often find challenging, and doing so in a short period. Building on this, Vueron is moving beyond technical validation to actively pursue mass production applications and supply agreements for actual vehicles. The company is also expected to advance from simple technical cooperation to visible mass production project collaborations with global OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
Kim Jae-kwang, CEO of Vueron Technology, stated, “The ASPICE Level 2 certification is an important milestone that demonstrates ‘VueOne’ is not only technically validated but also ready for mass production. We will actively expand ADAS mass production collaborations to meet the quality standards of global OEMs.”
Meanwhile, Vueron plans to accelerate its global business by showcasing mass production collaboration cases for ‘VueOne’ and its unique mass production support capabilities through ‘VueX’ at the Consumer Electronics Show 2026 (CES 2026) in Las Vegas next January.
