Vueron Technology's 'Lookout' Selected as an Innovative Product of 2026 by the Public Procurement Service

LiDAR Sensor-Based Control Solution Aiming for Expansion into Airports and Multi-use Facilities

Vueron Technology, a specialized AI recognition solution company, announced on July 30, 2026, that its smart infrastructure LiDAR software, 'Lookout', has been designated as the Public Procurement Service's "3rd Innovative Product of 2026".

During the designation review, 'Lookout' was originally registered under the name 'VueTwo', but the product name was updated following a brand reorganization in the first half of the year. The designated status will remain effective for three years, from June 26, 2026, to June 25, 2029. This designation grants Vueron Technology eligibility for private contracts and priority purchasing systems aimed at local governments and public institutions, enabling the company to accelerate its expansion into the public procurement market.

The product is a control solution that analyzes 3D point cloud data collected by LiDAR sensors in real time to identify and classify pedestrians, different types of vehicles, and two-wheeled vehicles. By tracking moving objects' speed, position, heading direction, and dwell time, it provides real-time processed data essential for traffic congestion analysis, hazardous area alerts, and parking space occupancy determination.

Kim Jae-kwang, CEO of Vueron Technology, explained: "Lookout utilizes our proprietary AI technology to compensate for sensor noise and obstructions caused by obstacles, allowing it to precisely track individual objects even in complex environments. Because LiDAR utilizes light, it ensures stable recognition at night or during rainy weather. Furthermore, it eliminates privacy concerns by processing only anonymous, non-personally identifiable 3D data. Its sensor-agnostic structure also allows for easy integration with existing CCTVs or Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)."

Building on its previous public project track record—including the Guryong Underpass ITS demonstration in Seoul, traffic analysis in Eunpyeong-gu, and the LX crowd density detection project—Vueron Technology plans to prioritize supplying its solution to smart intersections and pedestrian protection zones managed by local governments. Moving forward, the company's strategy involves expanding its applications across public infrastructure, including airports, railway stations, ports, and multi-use facility monitoring.

CEO Kim added: "This Innovative Product designation validates the performance and hardware versatility of Vueron’s AI recognition technology in complex, real-world infrastructure environments. By accumulating high-quality operational data directly from public fields, we aim to establish ourselves as an autonomous AI foundry enterprise that bridges autonomous driving and smart infrastructure."
